Under the chapter “Development and reconstruction of institutions operated in associated form and performing statutory local government duties” of 7/2011 (III. 9.) Regulation of the Ministry of Interior, the Local Government of Hévíz has renovated the Sugár Street building of the Teréz Brunszvik Day-care Kindergarten built in 1976. It is a single-storey building with a floor area of 608 m2 and it has been built with prefabricated reinforced concrete panel structure and a flat roof.
The energy efficient modernization of the kindergarten building was completed in the spring of 2012. In the course of the modernisation, 48 m2 footing and 659 m2 façade area were insulated, as well as the external heat insulation of the floor structure (35 m2) and metal supporting structure of the connecting corridors were completed. After the demolition of the old-style wooden and metal doors and windows, 39 modern plastic windows and doors were installed, and the heat generating equipment (2 gas boilers) and heat distribution equipment (47 steel panel radiators) of the building wings were replaced.
