Bearing the parents’ needs in mind, the continued growth in the number of 0-3 year olds, and making it easier for young parents to find a job, the selection of the crèche site and its planning began in the autumn of 2009.
Expected results: developing a social service unit that has not been available in the town before, reducing the infrastructural deficiencies of basic social services, meeting the residential needs and fulfilling requirements, improving living conditions: ensuring day-care opportunities for children aged 0-3, providing services adjusting to the needs of families with small children – providing playgroups, flexible opening hours, ensuring adequate human and material conditions, developing and strengthening inter-sectoral cooperation.
The crèche operates together with the kindergarten as a joint institute but physically in a separate building. In parallel with the establishment of the crèche, the reconstruction and extension of the Sugár Street Kindergarten was carried out with the local government’s own resources.
The subsidy agreement for the construction of a crèche was signed on 7th September 2010 and the building started on 29th September.
The technical delivery and acceptance ended on 29th July 2011.
